Your Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the game's release, to players forming strong opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
With many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this total queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant fountain of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is widely considered as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it became sentient through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who often always believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
